Ty'n Cornel

The completion of the sale will now be on 7th January 2007 and not 1st November as we thought before. The buyers will then lease it to us for at least 5 years at a very low rent but the lease should be renewable if we can make a success of it. If the buyers decide to sell before January 2013, we shall be given the chance to buy it if we can. We plan to sign a licence with the YHA so that Ty'n Cornel will stay in the YHA Guide and website and will still display the green YHA triangle. Elenydd Wilderness Hostels will be responsible for running it and keeping it in good repair.

Ty'n Cornel

Caiff yr hostel ei brynu ar 7 Ionawr 2007 ac nid 1 Tachwedd 2006 fel yr hysbyswyd eisioes. Cawn ei logi o'r perchnogion newydd am rhent isel iawn o'r dyddiad hwn - am 5 mlynedd yn y lle cyntaf ac os yn llwyddiant, am hirach, gobeithir. Os penderfynnir gwerthu'r hostel cyn Ionawr 2013, cawn y cyfle i'w brynu os medrwn.

Gobeithiwn arwyddo trwydded gyda'r YHA a bydd Ty'n Cornel yn parhau yn y Llawlyfr ac ar y wefan a chaiff ddefnyddio'r triongl gwyrdd fel o'r blaen. Bydd 'Hostelau Gwylltiroedd Elenydd' yn gyfrifol am redeg yr hostel a'i gadw mewn cyflwr da.

Bookings

Ty'n Cornel is open for advance bookings all winter and will be open as normal from mid-March to mid-November next year with a volunteer warden. Bookings can be made by ringing YHA Central Reservations at least one week in advance. We want to make sure the bookings work smoothly so if you have any problems or comments please email the Monitor with details or contact the Secretary (address below).

Dymunwn i'r trefniadau fod mor esmwyth a phosib felly os cewch unrhyw anhawster, neu am wneud sylw, e-bostiwch Swyddog bwcio gyda'r manylion, neu cysylltwch a'r Ysgrifennydd (cyfeiriad isod).

Charitable status

Elenydd Wilderness Hostels was registered as a charitable trust on 29th August 2006, registered number 1115946. The objects are:

1. To advance the education of the public, especially of young people of limited means, in conservation, protection and improvement of the environment by such means as the trustees may consider appropriate, including the provision of hostels and other accommodation to enable them to participate in educational activities.
2. To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity, disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.
3. To preserve and protect the health of all, especially young people of limited means.
4. To promote, for the benefit of the public, the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.

Statws elusennol

Cofrestrwyd 'Hostelau Gwylltiroedd Elenydd' fel ymddiriedolaeth elusenol ar 29 Awst 2006, Rhif 1115946. Ei hamcanion yw:-

1. I gyfoethogi addysg y cyhoedd, yn arbennig pobl ifanc heb lawer o gyfoeth, trwy ddysgu am gadwraeth, gwarchodaeth, a sut i wella'r amgylchedd drwy ffyrdd y tybier gan yr ymddiriedolwyr sy'n addas yn cynnwys cynnal hostleau a llochesi eraill sy'n addas ar gyfer addysg o'r fath.
2. I gynnal neu cynorthwyo i gynnal darpariaeth o weithgareddau er budd cymdeithasol neu llesol unigolion sydd arnant eu hangen oherwydd oedran, anabledd, tlodi neu amgylchiadau cymdeithasol eraill er mwyn gwella safon eu bywyd.
3. I warchod iechyd pawb, yn enwedig pobl ifanc heb lawer o gyfoeth.
4. I hyrwyddo, er lles y cyhoedd, cadwraeth, gwarchodaeth a gwelliant yr amgylchedd naturiol a ffisegol.

Donations

Dolgoch will come up for sale at the beginning of next year, and we face a massive task if we are to be in a position to buy it. Please will you help the Trust to achieve this by making a donation now if you can. Many of you have generously promised to give the Trust money and, now that we are registered, we are ready to receive these pledges. If you pay tax you may like to sign the Gift Aid Declaration which will enable the Trust to claim back the tax you have paid and make your donation even more valuable. Please print the donation form and send it with your donation. Please encourage anyone you think may also be interested in helping.

Rhoddion

Bydd Dolgoch ar werth o ddechrau'r flwyddyn newydd a bydd tasg enfawr o'n blaen os i'w brynu. A fyddech cystal a'n helpu ni trwy wneud rhodd nawr, os bosib?. Mae nifer ohonoch, yn garedig iawn, wedi addo gwneud ac rydym nawr, ar ol cofrestri, yn barod i dderbyn eich arian.. Os yn drethdalwr, llofnodwch y ffurlen 'Gift Aid Declaration' amgaeedig. i ni ad-ennill y treth a chodi mwy.. Os daw'r ffurflen hon drwy'r e-bost, printiwch y ffurlen. Sponsored walk

We have decided to postpone the sponsored walk between the 3 hostels, and the barbecue afterwards, until Saturday 19 May 2007 to give everyone more time to prepare. Thanks to everyone who has expressed an interest. Please contact JJ or the Secretary if you are interested in taking part or helping.

Taith nawdd

Penderfynnwyd ei ohirio o 16 Medi 2006 i fis Mai 2007. Bydd mwy o amser i drefnu a thynnu sylw. Diolch i bawb sydd wedi dangos diddordeb. Membership

More than 120 of us have joined the Trust so far and are the proud owners of a little card! The money raised will help pay for the start up costs at Ty'n Cornel - YHA licence fee, insurance, repairs, etc. Our mailing list is approaching 500 now so, if you haven't already done so, please join and also recruit more members for us if you can.

Aelodaeth

Yn barod mae tua 120 ohonom yn falch o berchen ar garden aelodaeth bach. Bydd yr arian yn mynd tuag at ddechrau cynnal Ty'n Cornel - trwydded YHA, yswiriant, cynnal a chadw ayyb. Mae tua 500 ar ein bas data ac amgaeir ffurflen aelodaeth os dymunwch ymaelodu (neu printiwch o'r wefan). Ymunwch, da chi, a helaethu'r neges i eraill os bosibl Mae mwy o ffurflenni ar gael o'r Ysgrifennydd aelodaeth neu'r cyfeiriad ar y ffurlen.

Volunteer wardening

Many of you have offered to warden at Ty'n Cornel and we shall start putting together a rota soon. We hope to be able to cover from at least mid-March to mid-November. Under the licence agreement with the YHA, volunteers will need to have been on a YHA training course and be CRB-checked. Please contact Wardening if you are interested in wardening next year.

Meetings

The last open meetings were at Ty'n Cornel on 5th August and Dolgoch on 17th September. Both were well attended and very useful. The next meetings will be held at Ty'n Cornel on Sunday 15 October 2006 and Saturday 2 December 2006.
