New facilities at DolgochDolgoch has re-opened after major building working, including disabled facilities, solar water heating, a new shower and a drying room. And now a wood-burning stove has been installed! But the character of the place has been retained - it's still a remote, gas-lit farmhouse in the Tywi valley. Please come and enjoy the superb new facilities!
New bunks at Ty'n CornelTy'n Cornel has re-opened after undergoing extensive treatment for woodworm. The old bunk beds have been removed and beautiful new ones built to replace them. Come and see for yourself!

Welcome to the ELENYDD WILDERNESS HOSTELS TRUST, set up to save some much-loved youth hostels in the Elenydd for future generations.
The Elenydd is an area in the southern Cambrian Mountains of mid-Wales, between Llanwrtyd Wells and Tregaron. It is a wild and beautiful place, with silence broken only by a gurgling stream, the bleating of sheep or the call of a bird. It is a wonderful area for outdoor activities like walking and cycling, an ideal place to escape from the pressures of the modern world.
Croeso i YMDDIRIEDOLAETH HOSTELI UNIGEDDAU'R ELENYDD, a sefydlwyd i arbed y tri hostel ieuenctid unigryw yn yr Elenydd sy'n annwyl gan lawer.
Yr Elenydd yw ardal fynyddig yng Nghanolbarth Cymru rhwng Llanwrtyd a Thregaron. Y mae'n lle anghysbell a hardd, lle na thorrir y distawrwydd ond gan fref defaid neu ambell gri aderyn. Y mae'n ardal ardderchog ar gyfer gweithgareddau awyr agored - cerdded, beicio - ac yn lle delfrydol ar gyfer dianc rhag pwysau'r byd cyfoes.

Simple youth hostels have provided accommodation here for many years and have always been popular with walkers and cyclists. They are in isolated and stunning locations and have been run by volunteer wardens for many years.
The Youth Hostels Association closed the last three of these hostels in 2006, but we have managed to save two of them - Ty'n Cornel and Dolgoch. They are both converted farmhouses in the hills and are full of character. And you can help to keep them open by visiting them!
Ers blynyddoedd maith, bu hosteli syml yn darparu llety i ymwelwyr i'r ardal. Maent yn hosteli llawn cymeriad, sy'n cael eu rhedeg gan wardeniaid o wirfoddolwyr, ac sy mewn safleoedd syfrdanol o hardd.
Yn 2006 caeodd y YHA y tair olaf o'r hosteli hyn, ond rydyn ni wedi llwyddo i brynu dwy ohonyn nhw - Ty'n Cornel a Dolgoch. Tai fferm yn y bryniau ydyn nhw wedi eu trawsnewid ac yn llawn cymeriad. Galwch chi fod o gymorth i'w cadw ar agor drwy ymweld â nhw!
